Julian Waller & Sam Weatherhog

Our story.

We started training together in 2017. As with most calisthenics enthusiasts, this was in the form of park workouts (Julian was running these for free to help build the calisthenics community). These sessions grew to include some of the first calisthenics gym owners in Brisbane and our passion grew into a full blown pursuit of this training style. A few years after this, Julian became a full time personal trainer specializing in calisthenics and Sam became a full time calisthenics and gymnastics coach (eventually moving into the personal training space as well).

During this time, the sport of calisthenics evolved massively. There are now three distinct “disciplines” of calisthenics and we have both trained (and competed in) all three. As the sport evolved, our training philosophy also evolved. Coaching adults who were new to the sport required a blend of traditional strength training, calisthenics specific training, and generally a large degree of mobility training. This hybrid style of training is now our preferred style of training (this is how we currently train) and has helped us massively increase our strength, endurance and mobility during this time (as well as help our clients do the same).

Having helped hundreds of clients unlock their dream skills (think handstands, muscle ups, handstand pushups, levers and more) and gain strength and mobility in the process, we are aiming to make our methods more accessible to a wider range of people.

Our story.

We started training together in 2017. As with most calisthenics enthusiasts, this was in the form of park workouts (Julian was running these for free to help build the calisthenics community).
